Poetry

I’ll update this page gradually with all of the poems I’ve written in the past. My favorites will be near the top…

Love
is of
the refreshing kind
of needle
when set to be
free

Pinching Rain

Shining, sketched silhouettes
Drink up my attention
And call it all to a place
Where I see my reflection

Do you want to be more?

The rain falls down
but I look up
The pain sets in – I need that drug
Sympathy
was taken from me
I’ve found a way for you to finally see

A closed mouth catches no flies
How long will it take for you to realize
not everyone here cares for what you say?
A sharp tongue will leave you alone
You’ve done this all on your own
Not everyone here cares for what you think

Confusion – when taken in as a whole
Doesn’t really make any sense at all
I hope that, one day, you will learn to fly
Far away from things that trouble you and I

The answer’s at your fingertips
Waiting for you to take hold
The nineteenth hour brings a wintry sunset
Another one that I’ll spend alone

Ignorance – built up and packed too full inside
Doesn’t really help with that sense of pride
I hope that, one day, you’ll be on my side
And we’ll fix the things that trouble you and I

The answer’s at our fingertips
Waiting for us to take hold
The nineteenth hour brings a wintry sunset
Another one that we’ll spend at home
